There are many jazz venues and jazz bands in canberra. Here are five of the jazz venues in canberra, that are playing live jazz as at April 2011. Check with their website to see whether they still have live jazz on.

  1. Jazz at the Tea House is on every sunday from 12.30pm at Federation Square 1 O'Hanlon Place NICHOLLS ACT 2913 (Gold Creek).
  2. Beyond Q Bookshop in Curtin ACT Australia, is a second hand bookshop that also has a cafe with live bands.
  3. Dickson Tradies is located at 2 Badham Street Dickson ACT 2602 Australia. On sunday from 5.30-7.30pm they have free jazz
  4. The Front Cafe & Gallery is located at Shop 3, 1 Wattle Pl Lyneham ACT. They sometimes have jazz.
  5. The Hippo Bar is located in canberra city. On wednesdays from 9pm-11.30pm there is live jazz. There is a cover charge for entry

I'm not sure how he would read music wearing sunglasses, he must know the song by memory which is pretty amazing.
