Other - Candles
There is some debate about whether paraffin candles are toxic. At this stage it appears that the safest thing is to purchase beeswax candles.
- Claim that beeswax candles are better than paraffin candles "Beeswax candles emit negative ions that actually clean the air and invigorate the body"
- Claim that soy candles are better than paraffin candles
"Soy wax is non-toxic and does not produce the dangerous toxic soot that paraffin candles do."
"Soy wax is water soluble and cleans up easily with water." - Paraffin is non-toxic
"most fruits and vegetables have an edible coating of paraffin wax on them."
"Soy or Soya is considered one of the most important food allergens" - No candle wax has ever been shown to be toxic or harmful to human health

I do not like to smell any scent if there are candles. Though I have liked some aromatherapy incenses in the past eg for Meditation/ Relaxing eg bach flower remedies, but I haven't used these for a while (since 1994). The main issue is that I don't want a scent lingering in my place since I like clean air. Dabbing a bit on of a roll-on meditation perfume is fine, since I can always wash it off. I put it on the inside of my wrist and then wipe a bit onto my nose so i can smell it, it helps me sleep, if i can not get to sleep. See these links:
